Do people still put their best foot forward so that there 1st impression is a good one anymore? I don’t think so. I say it all the time…we live in a very selfish society and no one is concerned for or about the next person.
I have personally met people for the first time and they wouldn’t even smile. Women have their faces squeezed up and their mouths in a frown with no thoughts of being polite enough to smile and say hello. I make it a point to say ‘Good Morning’ to the people I pass on the street and more times they never speak back…or they seem taken back by me even saying that to them.
That is sad to me and I actually feel sorry for people who don’t have enough Joy in their hearts to smile.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I still look for a `1st impression of someone. And I will hold you to the way that you react when I approach you. You never know the networks or connections you may make or if that person is heavy in their heart and just may need you to smile for them. If you meet me for the 1st time and I’m not cordial, please point it out to me so I can change my mannerisms. John 10:10 says I am come that they may have life, and may have it more abundantly. That to me, means I need to be acting like I have a good life set before me and carrying myself like the royalty that I am. God is being good to me…so I need to be good to others. The 1st time I meet them and everytime after that.
Plus….you never know who your meeting for the 1st time. It could be Jesus himself…How do you want Him to remember your 1st impression?
Ladies…fix your face LOL stop frowning so much. You look hateful and unattractive. Your smile is beautiful…bring it out and say ‘hello’ to someone!
